Physical Object:
The physical scope of the project includes the preparation of a Guide on Mineral Raw Materials (MRM) in both Greek and English, which will substantially contribute to the codification and updating of available information. It will also provide cartographic data and references, developed within a user-friendly environment.
Purpose – Expected Results:
The conditions and legal framework governing mining activities—such as the licensing regime, the procedure for acquiring mining rights, and the opportunities available in Greece for the exploitation of Mineral Raw Materials—are frequently raised by foreign stakeholders to both HSGME and the Ministry of Environment and Energy (YPEN). Currently, there is no suitable material available to provide accurate and reliable information to these stakeholders in both Greek and English.
The publication of a Navigation Guide, in both digital and printed form, will generate benefits for the national economy by promoting the national policy on Mineral Raw Materials. The existence of such a Guide will support YPEN’s information efforts toward interested parties and will significantly contribute to the codification, updating, and provision of reliable information.
