Project Scope:
The project focuses on the preparation of technical opinions regarding the approval or rejection of mining exploration licenses (MELs).
Purpose – Expected Outcomes:
- Ensures compliance with mining and quarrying legislation by mining rights holders and all parties involved in the exploitation of the country’s mineral resources.
- Promotes the rational and sustainable use of mineral resources in accordance with the existing legal framework and facilitates the implementation of investment projects.
- All technical opinions are utilized by the competent Ministry of Environment and Energy and the respective Regional Authorities for the issuance or rejection of related administrative decisions.
