One of the cores of the Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration (H.S.G.M.E.) strategic plan is extroversion, while simultaneously supporting national development.
On October 26, 2021, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Association of Marble Enterprises of Macedonia – Thrace (S.E.M.M.TH.). The aim is to open the laboratories of H.S.G.M.E. to the productive sectors, offering competitive advantages to the Association’s members. Through the exchange of specialized knowledge and the capabilities of the “LITHOS” Laboratory and its highly skilled scientists, the goal is to support the country’s quarries, establish a Greek quality label for the extracted materials, and achieve greater international recognition for Greek marble.
