EAGME and Metlen Forge a Strategic Partnership
EAGME has entered into a strategic partnership with Metlen Energy & Metals, aiming to strengthen the supply security of the historic Aluminium of Greece plant and to support the sustainable development of investments across the aluminium and alumina sector.
Leveraging its expertise and experience in the research and identification of critical raw materials, EAGME will support Metlen in advancing innovation and in the ongoing development of new technologies and methods that enhance the production and utilization of raw materials.
Within the framework of the collaboration, the two organizations will conduct joint research projects on bauxite deposits, drawing on the exchange of know-how and resources between EAGME and Metlen.
The partnership introduces an innovative approach to mineral exploration in Greece, combining Metlen’s technological capabilities with EAGME’s scientific expertise. Through this collaboration, cutting-edge technologies—including Artificial Intelligence (AI)—are being applied to optimize exploratory drilling and identify critical mineral resources such as bauxite. Smart algorithms enable faster and more accurate analysis of geological data, reduce the environmental footprint through targeted interventions, minimize unnecessary drilling, and lower extraction costs, while also optimizing the use of natural and energy resources.
Beyond technological and scientific progress, the EAGME–Metlen collaboration also aims to inform and engage local communities and the public on the importance of responsibly utilizing domestic mineral wealth, promoting modern, sustainable practices that protect the environment.
