The Hellenic Authority for Geological and Mineral Research (EAGME) has begun archiving the samples from the systematic geochemical surveys carried out in Greece from the 1970s to the early 1990s by the scientific and technical staff of IGME.
The project, entitled “Archiving of Geochemical Research Samples of Greece and Analysis of Geochemical Atlas Samples for the Creation of a Database,” is funded entirely by national resources through the Public Investment Programme of the Ministry of Environment and Energy. The project’s scientific coordinator is Dr. Alexandros Liakopoulos, Head of the Department of Geochemistry and Environment at EAGME.
