The Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration (EAGME) maintains a strong and high-level presence representing Greece within the Expert Groups of the EuroGeoSurveys (EGS) – The Association of the Geological Surveys of Europe.

The Director of Natural and Technological Hazards Management at EAGME has been re-elected to the honorary position of Chair of the Expert Group “Earth Observation – Geohazards | EOEG” of EGS.
The EOEG group focuses on developing Earth Observation tools and analyzing geohazards through innovative techniques and methods, with the ultimate goal of providing data and insights to support policy-making in environmental and risk management at the European level.

The Head of the Department of General Geology, Geological Mapping and Applications at EAGME has been elected to the honorary position of Vice-Chair of the Expert Group “Geological Mapping and Modelling | GMMEG” of EGS.
The GMMEG group aims to produce harmonized, modern digital geological maps and models at a pan-European scale, creating an accessible geological framework that supports research and informed decision-making based on a deep understanding of Europe’s geology.
EAGME is a founding member of EuroGeoSurveys, a non-profit organization that brings together the National Geological Surveys and Institutes of Europe, dedicated to highlighting and advancing the contribution of geosciences to Europe’s sustainable development.
