Emphasis was placed on data harmonization and interoperability, and on producing metadata compliant with modern international standards across European Geological Surveys.
To further enhance collaboration among the EGS Expert Groups, the meeting was also attended by their respective chairs and vice-chairs. The Earth Observation – Geohazards (EOEG) Expert Group was represented by its Chair, Dr. Eleftheria Pogiatzí, Director of Natural and Technological Hazards Management at EAGME.
It was also announced that EAGME will host the next in-person meeting of the GMMEG Expert Group in June 2025.
