Mining and Metallurgical Engineer, NTUA Graduate, Member of the Board of Directors

Petros Sakkas graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with a degree in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering and holds an M.Sc. in Materials Science & Technology from Boston University. He earned his Ph.D. at NTUA on the development of advanced nanomaterials for the utilization of natural gas in direct power generation through hydrogen fuel cell technology.

He has been with SYMETAL S.A. since 2015. From 2010 to 2012, he worked in the SOFC Laboratory at the Energy Research Center Niedersachsen in Germany. He has also worked at Boston University’s Office of Technology Transfer as a new technologies analyst, in the High-Temperature Materials Processing Laboratory, and in the Inorganic Materials Technology Laboratory at NTUA.
