DEPUTY GENERAL DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Konstantinos Zompos was born in Athens in 1980. He is married and has two children. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business (former A.S.O.E.E.) and an M.Sc. in Applied Economics and Regional Development. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Department Af Industrial Design and Production Engineering of the University of West Attica, with his doctoral thesis focusing on smart city governance and citizen services.
He worked as a management consultant at the Athens Urban Transport Organization (O.SY. A.E.) from 2013 to 2015. Since 2011, he has been professionally involved in the management of co-financed programs in both the public and private sectors. He is an executive of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in the Directorate-General for Strategic Planning of Transport and Road Safety.
He served as Deputy Mayor of Environment, European Programs, Technical and Financial Services of the Municipality of Galatsi for four years. He is a member of the General Assembly of the Central Union of Greek Municipalities. He has also served as a Board Member of the Hellenic Management Organization of Development Programs (MOD A.E.) under the Ministry of Economy and Development, as well as a Board Member of ILPAP S.A. He is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece.
Since October 2019, he has held the position of Deputy General Director of Finance & Administrative Services at the Hellenic Survey for Geological and Mineral Exploration (H.S.G.M.E.).
