KONSTANTINOS SALTAS.

PRESIDENT

Mining Engineer, Graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Konstantinos Saltas graduated from Megara High School in 1967. In the same year, he was admitted to the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, completing his studies in 1972. He was awarded a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation. From 1972 to 1975, he fulfilled his military service as a Reserve Second Lieutenant in the Hellenic Air Force. Between 1975 and 1993, he worked at the Skalistiri Mining Complex in the mines of Mantoudi, Kozani, Kymi, Itea, Lamia, and Elefsina, gaining experience in mine exploitation and ore processing. During the same period, he also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the company “Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises S.A.”

He voluntarily resigned in 1993, holding the title of Technical Director of Mine Operations. That same year, he joined TITAN Cement Group, where he worked until June 2019. From 1998 onward, he served as Director of Quarry Products in the Greece Division. He was also CEO of all TITAN Group subsidiaries in Greece specializing in aggregates, as well as Executive Director of "INTERBETON Building Materials S.A.," a TITAN Group company. He officially retired in 2012 but continued as advisor to the General Management of TITAN’s Greece Division until June 2019. From 2007 to May 2019, he was elected Vice President of the Hellenic Mining Enterprises Association, contributing to the drafting of legislation regarding quarry law.
