DIONYSIOS GOUTIS.

GENERAL MANAGER

Dionysios Goutis is a graduate of the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in “Geotechnical Engineering” from the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.

He has extensive professional experience in both the United Kingdom and Greece as a Consultant for Public and Private Technical Projects, specializing in geotechnical and geological studies, as well as in broader geotechnical design and supervision of geotechnical works.

He has also participated as a member of scientific teams in the implementation of applied research programs on natural disaster topics, focusing on the identification and analysis of hazards related to ground failures, landslides, rockfalls, subsidence, etc., as well as their impacts on structural engineering elements and the geoenvironment.

He has been an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece (GEO.T.E.E.) since 2014, has served as the Chamber’s representative in numerous ministerial working groups and legislative committees, and has also been appointed as the Chamber’s representative to the Advisory Committee for Studies (G.E.M.) of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

Since October 2019, he has held the position of Deputy General Director of Projects at HSGME, overseeing and coordinating all of the Authority’s research projects, with a total budget of €24.8 million.

He currently serves as the General Director of the Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration (H.S.G.M.E.).
