DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING, BUILDING INFRASTRUCTURE & PROJECT EXECUTION.
The core activity of the Department of Engineering, Building Infrastructure & Project Execution (TYPEKE) is to support the continuous development of the Authority by providing technical services for the implementation of its research programs, ensuring the smooth operation of its facilities, and carrying out field-based technical research projects. TYPEKE operates under the Directorate of Development & Infrastructure (DANY).
Within this framework, TYPEKE is responsible for:
- Ensuring the operation and maintenance of the Authority’s buildings, electromechanical installations, and laboratories.
- Managing, maintaining, and optimizing the Authority’s vehicle fleet, while ensuring compliance with all safety and legal requirements for its operation.
- Overseeing the maintenance and effective use of existing mechanical equipment (drilling rigs, pumping units, technical tools, spare parts), as well as planning upgrades and modernization through structured procurement programs.
- Designing, organizing, and executing field technical works, such as drilling (sampling, geotechnical, large-diameter hydrogeological and geothermal wells), tunnels, and surface excavations. It organizes and supervises the Authority’s construction sites, in support of its research commitments and in cooperation with the relevant central units. It also coordinates and monitors the implementation of technical research projects assigned to the Authority’s six Regional Units.
